Diving Experiences in Dubai

East Coast shoreline of United Arab Emirates has much more attractive dive sites than the West Coast – Dubai side. The most famous dive sites are located in Khorfakkan and Fujairah.

Diving on the East Coast gives divers more tropical marine life, since the East Coast affected by currents from Gulf of Oman this brings the area different kinds of exotic fish and diversity of marine life. One of the most excited diving experiences in the area is to swim with Whale Sharks known as the biggest sea mammal in the world.

Marine life to be observed in the dive sites of Martini Rock, Shark Island, Sharm Rocks, and Pinnacles.

Scuba divers can enjoy seeing sea turtles, school of barracudas, sea horses, honeycomb morays, angel fishes, parrot fishes, soldier fishes, nudibranchs, reef sharks, box fishes, lion fishes and many other tropical fishes.

Wrecks of Inchcape 1 and Inchcape 2 accommodates also the same marine life after sunken by purpose of creating underwater habitat in the area.

This habitat is a kind of heaven for underwater photographers.

Diving in
Musandam-Oman Area

Musandam has the second attractive diving sites cross border with the UAE and within the reach of 2 hour-drive distance from Dubai. The Musandam has one of the most rugged isolated and beautiful coast-line by surrounded Hajar Mountains rise directly by the sea and sheltered bays also offer a safe environment for diving activities.

Sites like Lima Rock and Octopus Rock are some of the best locations. Visibility ranges from 3m to 20m depending on the current structure.

Marine Life has reef sharks, leopard sharks, golden cardinal fish, cleaner shrimps, jacks, barracuda, rays, yellow sweetlips, red lionfish, stingrays, clowfishes, popper fishes, box fishes and others.

Other popular dive sites are Pearl Island, Ras Hamra, and Ras Lima.
